New York can be a place of diversity. Excess and lack.
I had walked up and down Broadway all week, like any other tourist.
Today, after many hours of visiting a digitalized New York, (I played the spiderman game and "True Crimes of New York" on Eddy's PS2 all day,) I went on Amsterdam Avenue.
It runs parallel to Broadway, but it seems to be a completely different New York. This city is probably one of the few places in the world where the caste system still exists. On Broadway, a cup of coffee is $2. On Amsterdam, $0.50. The traffic flow is different, the colour is different. White people kind of stanf out on this part of Amsterdam.
These are two pics of 95th St. One is @Amsterdam, the other @Broadway. This two locations are literally 30 seconds apart. Guess which one is which.
